Why should property be scheduled separately?
Only items of distinct, special value should be considered for separate schedule. Generally, most items will be covered under "unscheduled" personal property limits at full replacement value, such as your household goods, clothing, personal computers, other electronics, and golf clubs. However, if these items are distinct in their value, such as custom golf clubs or sets, or computers and software that are not generally available in the marketplace for replacement, then separate schedule should be considered. Most importantly, there are "Special Limits of Liability" under Unscheduled Personal Property for jewelry and watches. Because there is an aggregate limit for jewelry and watches, if you have items of distinct value in that category, insuring them under separate schedule is advised. No deductible is applied to scheduled property. Back to Top
